Jun 2008: One more for the good guys!
Another
great racing weekend for the Bryan Holyk 2001 Z06 Corvette
and Bishop's at Mission's Rivers Edge Race track!
Beat
a personal lap time of 1.156 and ended up with a 2nd place
finish overall on the Sunday main event for our class. What
a great weekend! The Bishop prepped Corvette performed brilliantly
with Bryan behind the wheel and a fresh set of Kumho V710
race tires! We will be ordering more of those shortly!
Also
in the news, Bishop has bought another Miata for transform
into a Spec Miata road race car to compete along side (well,
behind) Bryan's Corvette! look for more Bishop at Mission
for 2009! This will be a big project for us and we are very
excited to get going! We love Miatas and you would guess that
if you have visited our www.monstermiata.ca website. Watch
for more updates on the Bishop Spec Miata!
Vortech
Superchargers is close on releasing their 2009 Dodge Challenger
SRT-8 supercharger system. And you know that kit is going
to kick ass as that is the only way Vortech would have it.
Also
new is we are ever increasing our Corvette performance parts
lines and now have the Doug Rippie Motorsports parts available.
More for us, more for you.
Thanks

we will be running with our new experimental brake set up.

Jun 2008: Racing the Vette June 21st!
It
is off to another race weekend at Mission's Rover's Edge Race
track to compete Bryan's 2001 Z06 Corvette in IP1 Class. With
up dated brakes and tuning, we should be looking forward to
a great and exciting weekend!
Also
on the race landscape, Bishop is currently looking for a early
90s Miata to complete a Spec Miata to also compete in Mission
that will be driven by Jeff Dann.
Another
good news item, Bishop has their dyno figured out and we will
be getting a 4wd 1500hp Dynapack Chassis dyno!!! WOW, we are
so pumped and excited about this new venture. We will be able
to run all 2wd and 4wd cars for horsepower, air/fuel and other
testing. We plan to be tuning Dodge, GM, Ford, MINI and Subaru
cars almost right away.

Jun 2008: CORVETTE FINISH 1 - 2 IN A ROCK AND ROLL WEEKEND!
Well,
it is over. What a great weekend! Chris Chamberlan and Bryan
Holk finish the Race Weekend at Mission Race Way Park with
an exciting one two finish.
Saturday
was hot and Bryan was dailed in for a pole in class start
and with Chris a close second. The Saturday would end with
a first in class for Chris and a 2nd in class for Bryan in
IP-1 (Improved Production) in their 2001 Z06 Corvettes.
Sunday
was even more fun, with Bryan getting another class pole start
but with Chris, who was simply on fire, did some outstanding
driving and ended up with a 1st in class and a class track
record of 1.1625 lap time! Rock on! Bryan did great claiming
a 2nd place finish after dueling out with one of Steve Pequets
996 Porsches driven by Travis Hill.
The next
generation Chamberlain, Ty, had a brilliant Saturday in his
novice race (driving pop's white Z06) with after a hard fought
battle with a Paxton supercharged S2000, claimed his first
race win! Watch out for Ty as he is only 16 years old and
is getting better with each race!
Over
all, excellent weekend at that plus we are one more week closer
to getting g the new Dynapack Chassis Dyno. Look like we are
going to go four wheel drive at that!

May 2008: NEXT RACE MAY 31st!
The Bishop
Z06 is ready to race! All set up for this weekends big event
at Mission's Rivers Edge Road Race Track.
Bishop
will be there with Bryan Holyk behind the wheel of his freshly
out fitted Z06 Corvette sporting a new set of Nitto NT-01
DOT race tires and a sweet Bassani Exhaust! Thank you Darryl

Also
new... Vortech has released their HEMI supercharger
kit for the new Dodge Charger HEMI cars, now that is horsepower!
Can't wait to go for a ride! Also new... we
are now selling JBA exhaust parts and goodies. Also
new... our dyno should be here in late June.

May 2008: RACING IS COOL!
Racing,
racing and more racing. That is what is all about!!!
Bishop
is getting ready for the May 31st race at River's Edge Race
Way in Mission BC. The Vette is getting a new passenger door
(from a 350Z driver that has no clue) and brakes to help deliver
Bryan another track record!
Also,
Bishop will soon be out there with a second car, a 1970's
Formula V and for those who do not know, it is a 1200cc Volkswagen
(beetle) engine bolted to some metal tubing and fibreglass.
They also throw in a harness to make the driver feel safe.
Who will be driving? Well, Jeff will since he has received
official permission from the Boss, uh, wife to go for it!
On the
performance front, lots of new parts from JBA, Bassani, Cosworth,
Vortech and others. Watch for all the PFADT Corvette racing
parts on the bishopeshop.com site by end of month and followed
by all the cool hot rod Clay Smith Cams goodies and collectibles.

May 2008: NITTO TIRES ROCK
Hay all....
We are proud to announce that we are now racing with NITTO
NT-01 DOT Road Race Tires on the Bryan Holyk Racing Z06 Corvette.
The next race is May 31 2008 and we are gunning for a win
and to increase our points lead in the IP-1 class.
At last
even we managed a class track record, a 2nd place class win,
a 1st place class win in two races. WE ROCK!
We are
looking to improve out positions with new Hawk pads, KVR rotors
and AP 600 fluids. Thanks to the guys a Pfadt racing for the
help!!!

Wow,
what has changed in the past couple of weeks.

Apr 2008: BISHOP ROCKS AT MISSION!!!!!!
WHAT
ONE HELL OF A WEEKEND!!! Bryan Holyk behind the wheel
of his Bishop sponsored/set-up 2001 Z06 Corvette ended up
with one second place, one first place and to top it all off,
A FRICKEN TRACK RECORD!!!!!
Did I
say, BRYAN ROCKS! Bryan, who after attending driver training
at the Bonduraunt school in AZ, has become one hell of a driver.

09 Apr 2008: First race of the season!
This
is it! This weekend will be the first race weekend of the
season @ Mission Race Way Park in Mission BC. Road racing
at it’s finest, well, it is racing!
After
a long winter we are ready with our 2001 Z06 Corvette and
owner/driver Bryan Holyk is ready for wins and track records.
Bryan took the time off to visit a driving school in AZ, he
is pumped, we are stressed!
Weather
is calling for either heavy rains or hot sun! WTF!
More
news on Monday after this weekend success or failure! Jeff,
Matt and Ian will be there to help Bryan through this tough
first weekend!

Mar 2008: Time for another Monster!
Hay now
everyone! It is monster season again and time to build another
red hot V8 Miata. Check out our pictures as we have our "RED-5"
pictured in it's pre-Monster condition.
Already
is a 275hp/310tq Ford V8 ready for installation that will
bolt up to a T-5 Tremic Transmission and 7.5" Ford IRS
Diff with 2:73 gears. Man, this car is going to rock. Stay
tuned for more details on this car and watch our photo section
for installation updates.
Also
new? We are another day closer to getting dyno from Dynapack
that will be a real great tool for tuning old school and the
latest fuel injected cars using the DiabloSport and Unichip
software.

Mar 2008: The Passing of a hot rod great!
Last
week the hot rod guru Boyd Coddington passed away and he will
be missed by all gear heads and lug nuts alike. From everyone
at Bishop's, 'we will miss you Boyd!'
22 Feb 2008: Friday, again!
One more week done and now it is the weekend! Tons of more
superchargers hit the road and we are one week closer to getting
the chassis dyno.
We will
be set up to do old skool and late model tuning with our 1972
engine tuner and the latest Diablo Sports Chipmaster software
(Thanks Captian Dan). Ready to rock and make this happen coming
soon!
