Where we started...
Cars are in out blood, started at a young age I helped my father build, modify and restore Corvettes, Morgans, TRs, TVRs, and other great classic cars. With this upbringing, I knew that performance cars where in my future, and here we are now! Playing with monster and making big boost, it dose not get better than this!
Bishop was established in September 11 1996 and before, I was with the Family business importing equipment from Japan and contract work for the local film industry. After 5000 forklifts sold, time to move on to more fun projects and thus, Bishop was opened. Heart and sole has always been with muscle cars and performance, so when Bishop opened, we quickly developed into one of Canada's premier leader in distribution of premier performance parts.
In 1997 Bishop became a Saleen auto parts distributor and quickly grew to be their number one Canadian retailer and their fifth largest distributor in the world. Saleen was a lot fun to sell but we needed to grow and fast so our choice Vortech. Doing what we do best and since 1998 we have sold enough superchargers for Vortech to give us the honorary distinction to be named Canada's largest Vortech distributor, EVER! We have sold more Vortechs in Canada that any one else and we are proud to have this recondition.
Our first Monster Miata was in 1990 when I discovered John Bretoner from Cardiac Cobra in North Vancouver. At that time John was building the Monster Miata for Canada and I would proud to be the owner of the first Monster in Canada. Many years, and monster later, we continue the tradition of stuffing 300 hp plus V8s into the MX5 to create a pocket rocket like no other!
We continue to grow and expand with more great employees and customer service techs, and we now have more inventory than we have ever had before. More Vortech, more Monsters, more Paxton, more more more more more! Bishop Sales has the distinction of being the official Canadian distributor for Cosworth Racing and Kenny Brown 's Engineered Performance. We are also the number one with Vortech and Maximum Motorsports, and believe me, we are gunning for that spot to!
