MIATA PARTS: Bishop Sales is please to be able to supply
SPEC MIATA parts to racers alike across Canada through AWR
Racing and Racing Cages in California. If you want to build

As
you may know, Bishop currently build the Monster Miata V8
conversions and that requires us to work on every system in
the Miata, so when we say WE KNOW MIATAS, it is no
idle boast! Bishop has performance parts for all Miata's ranging
from the 1990 to the current model year MX-5, all provided
with the level of tech support you need to make sure the job
gets done right the first time.
PROJECT
SPEC MIATA: Bishop Sales is currently seeking a donor
Miata to build into a Spec Miata for the rapidly growing Spec
Miata class.
Using
the supply from AWR who has been a long time supplier of the
"spec" coil over hardware kit that is used in the
Spec Miata class and sold exclusively through MAZDASPEED
Motorsports Development.
The
SPEC MIATA class has become very popular with well over 1000
cars already built in Canada and the USA. These cars are very
reliable and many are racing with over 200,000 km on them.
Bishop
Sales wants to build a car and taking notes along the way.
We have started our research and will take lots of pictures
to create a photo gallery of the build up. We will list all
of the parts purchased and their prices, so that you can see
how inexpensively a car can be built. At the end of our build
up, the car will raced and then it will be sold. We may decide
to sell it through auction at eBay, or directly to a customer.
We have not yet decided.
Donor
Miatas can usually be purchased fairly cheaply, with 1990-93
1.6 liter cars coming in under $5000 CAN. It's said that you
can build a car, including the price of the car for under
$15,000 CAN. You'll pay more if you have it built, due to
the labor involved.
Watch
us as build up our SPEC MIATA for the track, first step the
strip, then the prep, and to follow the build. And the most
exciting part, the test and tune. Bishop plan to first run
the car at open track events to get the bugs out and get the
set up correct when it comes to the actual racing!
